COPY EDITOR
Job Description
The Language Editor is responsible for rephrasing and editing author manuscripts to global standards.
Should be versatile in rephrasing the sentences
Should have an eye for detail
Check for typographic and grammatical errors throughout the proofs
Standardize the manuscript according to the book/ journal/ house styles
Ensure that all inconsistencies in the manuscript are corrected or queried
Meet the required productivity as per the target
Meet the specified deadlines with good quality
Delivery of content to client/author
Escalate bugs in tools/templates to the Copy editing Manager
Help the Copy editing Manager in preparing style sheets
Help the production team with their queries with respect to content
Perform style editing, proof collation and editorial proof reading as required in the project
Responsible for accuracy of the content in all stages
Understand client feedback and ensure that the errors are not repeated
Analyze corrections provided by the author/ PEs and improvise accordingly
Must coordinate and give daily report to the Copy editing Manager
PROJECT MANAGER
Key Responsibilities
Direct and manage the projects from beginning to end.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
Follow the defined SOPs and all other guidelines.
Prepare and complete action plans and project timelines
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation,
Analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
Forecasting requirements and scheduling expenditures as per the allotted budget.
Recruitment as per the project requirement in coordination with HR.
Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of the project and scope.
Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Ensure Team Management.
